Review:
Burn For Me was amazing. I have been curious about Phoenix since he was introduced to us in Alfie, Darling. This blew my expectations out of the water. Phoenix was misunderstood. He was just a regular person. I loved the story we got. It was emotional, raw and intense. Laura and Phoenix were amazing together. I think this was my favorite book of Effie's so far.
Blurb:
There are three rules he lives by. One: Burn it all. Two: Leave no witnesses. Three: Don't ask questions. It was all perfect, until he took her. And now? She's his.
PHOENIX
I can't speak. I have no one. I live my life below the radar, burning crime scenes for the mafia. Most of my life I've managed to quash the loneliness down until it left me nothing but a hardened shell. Until I found her. Until I took her. Every moment near her drives me to new levels of obsession, and I'll do anything to keep her.
LAURA
The eve of my wedding turned into the end of my life as I knew it. When I wake the next day, I find a mute, masked man sewing up the hole in my chest. Running away from him isn't an option. We're floating on a boat in the middle of the ocean. Can I escape before loneliness drives me into his scarred arms?
Burn for Me is a heat filled romantic suspense book with dark themes.
About the Author:
