4/5 Stars

Genre: YA Dark Fantasy

Third Person POV

My review: This book was great! For my first ARC Read I gave it 4 stars. It was in Third Person POV rather than First Person POV which I wasn't used to. But overall, it was a great story of magic, betrayal, and some twists along the way. I really enjoyed it and it was definitely a refreshing story since it was different than what I was used to. I loved the characters for what they were. I definitely wish we got some more character development in there but hopefully in the next book there will be. I will definitely recommend this book and I will finish out the series at a later date.

Midnight Mated by Savannah Lee

10/28/23 - 10/30/23

E-book - ARC Read

Summary: I was used to getting the short end of the stick, so I shouldn’t have been surprised when I found myself fleeing my cheating ex, only to be run off the road and attacked by a vicious creature, barely escaping with my life.
Whisked away to the middle of the woods with no car or money, I found myself surrounded by crazies who claim to shift into animals and run in packs during the full moon. Even crazier? They say I’m one of them. And so was my attacker.
Normally I’d be running for the hills, but when the leader of this group tells me there have been other deadly attacks and I’m the sole survivor, the ten thousand dollar bounty he offers in exchange for my help is too tempting to resist.
Forced to partner with a gorgeous but infuriating rogue shifter who challenges me at every turn, we're propelled into a race against the clock to track down the killer.
Before it's too late.

5/5 stars

Genre: Paranormal Romance

My Review: I absolutely loved everything about this book. I was fully immersed in the story, who the characters are, their relationships, etc. I gave it 5 stars if I could rate higher I would. I literally couldn't put the book down. I can't wait to read book 2 when it comes out. Go pick up the book you will not regret it.

November Wrap Up 2023

Death's Obsession by Avina St. Graves

11/2/23 - 11/3/23

Physical Book

Summary: He’s coming for you.

Death is meant to come on a chariot of broken dreams or in the dark trenches of a storm, not in love letters and gifts.

He did not take my soul when I was meant to die. He did not want it all the other times that I’ve offered it to him on a silver platter. Yet, time and time again, he reminds me that I am his: His night monster, his dark love, his perfect other.

Death was the only thing keeping me alive. He watches me from his corner, taunts me with sweet messages, marks my body with his touch as I sleep.

He took the people that I love away from me. Still, no one believed me when I said that I saw the faceless man on the night of the accident.

No one can escape death.

Me? I’m chasing it.

5/5 Stars

Genre: Dark Romance/Gothic Romance

My Review: The book was amazing! It was my first gothic romance novel. Very spicy but it didn't overshadow the plot of the book. I really enjoyed it. Definitely gives me Hades x Persephone you know without Demeter. But I loved every bit of it. You can easily finish this book in a day it's like a novella. But I will definitely reread.

The Fate Philosophy by Sarah A. Bailey

11/4/23 - 11/4/23

E-book - Kindle Unlimited

Summary: Following the long overdue break-up from her insufferable ex-boyfriend, Macie Cunningham was ready for a fresh start.

She thought she’d find that new beginning when she impulsively moved to Los Angeles with her best friend, but after six months here, all she’s discovered is that her life is strenuously the same. The same career—one she’s not so sure she still loves. The same hobbies—or lack thereof. And romance? Painfully non-existent. That’s actually the only new experience she’s had since she decided to start over. She’s tried dating, but can’t seem to find that spark she’s looking for. Save for one exception.

Dominic Evans.

Her roommate’s best friend and the biggest pain in her ass. Macie and Dom’s constant head-butting is more infuriating than desirable, but somehow it always feels like foreplay? With her mind on the cusp of pure lust and pure vexation every time she’s around him, Macie decides it’s best to just stay away from Dom entirely.

Until Macie’s roommates head out of town for the holidays, and she finds herself alone in her apartment with hazardous Christmas trees, head injuries, and a barren kitchen. Annoyingly, Dom can’t seem to stop coming to Macie’s rescue, and she isn’t quite sure why, or how long she can continue holding back her desires.

As their attraction becomes explosive, Macie realizes there may be more to Dominic Evans than that arrogant cunning, that smart-ass mouth, and that obnoxiously charming smile.

Not that it matters, anyway. Once the holidays pass and their friends return home, Macie and Dom’s intense chemistry will fizzle out. They’ll go back to the same old frenemies they always were… right?

5/5 Stars

Genre: Rom Com

My Review: Let me start off by saying that this was my first Romantic Comedy book and it made me giggle, blush, and cry. I felt like I identified with Macie so much. I absolutely loved it and because I read it on Kindle and loved it so much I need the physical copy to add to my collection. If I could rate it more than 5 stars I would. Very spicy as well but I loved it.

5/5 Stars

My Review: This was a cute little story! It's a short story about an hour ish long according to Kindle! I loved it! It was my first grumpy/sunshine trope read and I enjoyed it a lot. I'm definitely interested in reading more of their stories! It said the spice level was a two but I am rating it as a one because it was closed door sex scenes. I can't wait to read the whole anthology.

5/5 Stars

Genre: Fantasy, Romance, Magic, and Fantasy Romance

My Review: This book had me hooked from the beginning. I would've read it sooner if I wasn't reading other books. It was beautifully written. The plot twists at the end were immaculate and I was on the edge of my seat. I definitely can't wait to read Darkwielder! I loved the plot, the plot twists, literally everything. I don't have any complaints but I NEED more. Darkwielder releases January 8th, 2024 so go read Every Dark Shadow!

A Song of Soul by T. R. Durant

E-book - ARC Read

Summary: A call from the sea
Decades of waiting
Can lost love be found
In the lowest of tides?

Samantha
Dreams have anchored my reality since I can remember. The waves called for me.
I have no choice but to let go of all the other sounds of the world and follow the song of the sea.

Collins
The petite blonde attracts my gaze while she revels in the shallow waters. Her giggles are like music as she hops around, splashing.
She is beautiful and full of life, awakening a dormant part of my heart.
I want her like I’ve not craved for anyone in decades. Yet I can’t entertain this fantasy, nor act on my desire for this human. I won’t replace my dead soulmate, my Sadb, nor will I betray her memory by sparing a further glance towards another woman.

The tantalising song the human exudes floods my soul. Yet, it shall be forever smothered by silence.

4/5 Stars

Genre: Paranormal Romance

My Review: I knew that this book was very smutty diving in but holy moly. When she said, “This is smut on a stick.” She didn’t lie. I personally enjoyed the plot more than the smut but that’s just me. Overall, I gave it 4 stars. The smut rating is 5/5 it is very spicy. I loved the characters and the story. I honestly can’t wait to read more and see their story unfold.

I absolutely loved this book! What a wild ride. Definitely read your trigger warnings and it is way different from Death's Obsession and Avina touched on this a bit and I loved every bit of it. It was amazing! Blaze and Kohen are both fun and whimsical and them together was just simply amazing. A crazy ass love story but dark and fun! This has to be one of my favorite books for this year. As a Dark Romance girly this was top tier. Arson, Murder, Asylumisque vibes, etc. It has everything. Lots of spice. Lots of adventure. I loved it. I can't even put into words how much I loved it. Go pick it up and as always your mental health matters.
