The Final Born by Mason Monteith

Review | Book Tour ~ May 3rd, 2024 - May 6th, 2024

This book was absolutely amazing! I'm so glad I got to read this book! I was immersed in this story and I haven't read a fantasy novel without romance in a long time it was kind of nice to take a break from romance even Romantasy. The plot twists got me. I was on the edge of my seat waiting for more and it kept coming. And I loved the cliffhanger at the end of this book and I can't wait to read what happens next. I loved Calypso. I grew an attachment to her from the beginning, and I loved Ophelya for being her close friend and almost sister. And Leandre; he was so so sweet and I'm honestly glad that him and Calypso had a strictly platonic relationship. At first I thought there was more between them but then I quickly realized that it was just a friendship and to be honest, I loved that more than I would've loved a relationship in this book. And out of the Royal Scion siblings I liked Avalon, Hectyr, and Kyril. I didn't really have complaints on the others because we didn't know a ton about them. And I loved all of the different POVs we got in this book. It gave us just enough information I feel like. Go pick up this book you guys you will not be disappointed!

Blurb:

Do we control our fate? Or does fate control us?

Calypso Pallas, a cursed princess doomed to destroy her country.
Ophelya Nephus, a second heiress living in the shadow of her sister.
And Leandre Elias, a trusted guard with no memories of his past…

In the Empire of Vasyla the end of Emperor Oryon’s reign is near - which means the royal scions must soon face each other in a bloody battle for the crown. As the challenge nears and the tides change few realize there is more to this tradition than meets the eye. As strange things begin occurring in the empire, the people's fate may lie in the hands of its three misfits. Yet none of these three even control their fate - let alone the fate of their country.

Will these three be able to twist fate and make their own choices in their lives for their empire? Or is fate absolute - and the empire destined to fall?

This book was so good! I loved the mystery behind Aodhan. And I loved that there were real world references and then having fantasy thrown in was neat. I feel like Sierra was a great character and while yes she complained a lot, who doesn't? I related to Sierra more than I thought I did to be honest with you. I can't wait to know what happens in book 2! Thank you so much Hope for gifting me a physical copy of your book!

Blurb:

Recent college graduate Sierra Lopez has no idea what she wants to do with her life. With a degree that’s useless on its own, Sierra decides to complete a one-year master’s program at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. Alone in a new city, Sierra downloads Tinder, expecting to go on a few casual dates during her study of human aging and fragility.

But then she meets the mysterious and brooding Aodhan De Thuaidh, who doesn’t seem to be at home in Dublin either. When he’s 30 minutes late for their first date, however, Sierra writes him off as just another jerk, intending never to see him again.

Except Aodhan keeps showing up. First around campus, then at a bar, and during Sierra’s work hours at the campus library. He claims it’s just a chance they keep running into each other, which annoys Sierra to no end, but something about Aodhan just isn’t adding up…

Hope. E Davis’s Demure is a spicy NA fantasy novel for fans of Twilight who no longer want to read about teenagers and who enjoy the fantasy worlds built by Sarah J. Maas and J.R.R. Tolkien.

Come True by Brindi Quinn

Review | Book Tour ~ May 12th, 2024 - May 14th, 2024

This was a cute contemporary romance! I loved everything about this book! The banter between Velis and Dolly was so cute and fun! And I loved the world building. If you love second chances, forbidden romance, genies and forbidden love please check this out! It was so good!

Blurb:

A jaded girl. A persistent genie. A contest of souls.

Recent college graduate Dolly Jones has spent the last year stubbornly trying to atone for a mistake that cost her everything. She doesn’t go out, she doesn’t make new friends and she sure as hell doesn’t treat herself to things she hasn’t earned, but when her most recent thrift store purchase proves home to a hot, magical genie determined to draw out her darkest desires in exchange for a taste of her soul, Dolly’s restraint, and patience, will be put to the test.

Newbie genie Velis Reilhander will do anything to beat his older half-brothers in a soul-collecting contest that will determine the next heir to their family estate, even if it means coaxing desire out of the least palatable human he’s ever contracted. As a djinn from a ‘polluted’ bloodline, Velis knows what it’s like to work twice as hard as everyone else, and he won’t let anyone—not even Dolly f*cking Jones—stand in the way of his birthright. He just needs to figure out her heart’s greatest desire before his asshole brothers can get to her first.

COME TRUE: A BOMB-ASS GENIE ROMANCE is the romantic, fantastic second-coming-of-age story of two flawed twenty-somethings from different realms battling their inner demons, and each other, one wish at a time.

Review | ARC ~ May 14th - May 15th, 2024

This book was absolutely amazing!! A princess and the frog retelling with fae origins? Ugh so so good!  I loved every single thing about this book! Pick it up if you love retellings and fae!

Blurb:

Never bargain with a frog.

There was a chill in the salt air the morning my sister was taken. All they left was a single golden shell in her bed. The fae had claimed another bride.

Now, careless on champagne, I've met one myself. By night, an intoxicating gentleman with piercing green eyes. By day, a slimy, conniving frog.

When I drop my precious golden shell, he offers to retrieve it... for a price. By his law, we are betrothed.

To break a bargain is to die, so I will cross the cursed waters with him and go to their hidden isle. But this won't be a one-way trip. It won't be so easy to claim the heart of this princess.

Kissed by Songs of Lilies is one of ten books in the Enemies Ever After series, a collection of standalone short novels featuring enemies-to-lovers fairy tale retellings with a touch of steam.

Review | ARC ~ May 15th, 2024 - May 16th, 2024

Ok so I probably should've read Grave Secrets first but I had no idea when I signed up to read this ARC. But it was good. Even though I was a little confused in the beginning it was good. It was a tragically beautiful story. I hated Alexander and the way he treated his daughter and granddaughter. It riled me up. And Simon didn't deserve anything he got in this book. I was rooting for him and Rebecca the whole time. I'd say this was pretty close to forbidden romance. The last couple chapters had me so emotional. I almost teared up. Don't be like me and not read Grave Secrets first.

Cage Me by Heather Renee

Review | New Release Tour ~ May 17th, 2024 - May 18th, 2024

This book was good! I love shifter romance books and I liked how different it was compared to other shifter romance. I love the feisty blonde FMC trope? I want to call it a trope now cause I read another shifter romance and she was also blonde and feisty and it gives me life every single time. And of course who doesn't love a morally grey/shadow daddy MMC? Crazy people that's who. This book follows Spencer and her family. I was living for it. Especially when she meets her soulmate from Tartarus?? Ugh. I was so excited. And this book had me GRIPPED from the get go. I absolutely loved it. It says book #5 and I believe they can be read as standalones.

Blurb:

I had a plan, then fate laughed in my face.

Three years ago, I was banished from my home for protecting my family. I've had to learn to survive on my own, while also heeding my mother's warnings.

"Never let anyone know who you truly are."

Which proves almost too easy for me to do until my fated mate stumbles out of a newly opened portal.

Drake Cage is a wolf shifter from the shadow world. Not only is he cursed, but he comes with problems I don't need in my life.

I try to reject him, but he's determined to show me he's worthy. With each word he speaks and every action he takes, I'm finding him harder to resist.

Until one call threatens everything I've been fighting for.

My mate's vengeance soon becomes my own and, if I'm not careful, neither me nor my heart will ever be the same again.

**Cage Me is a spicy standalone read set in the Immortal Vices and Virtues Universe. Every book is a guaranteed happily ever after with a satisfying ending and no cliffhangers. Perfect for fans of Immortals After Dark, Black Dagger Brotherhood, and the Demonica series.**
